Rally is the newest AKC dog sport. It is great for senior dogs who no longer show in obedience but still like to work, or for dogs/people that don't know if they would like traditional obedience, or just for having wonderful quality time with your dog. In Rally there is unlimited communication between your dog and you. After the judge says "Forward" the dog/handler team is on it's own to complete the course correctly and in a timely fashion. Each course is different and a new "experience" which makes it fun and challenging.
